The Dean Stroud Shepherd Spine and Pain Institute offers pain management and rehabilitation for individuals experiencing spine and chronic pain problems. PRAY for older adults in our community who feel alone or disconnected. Everyone has gifts and talents to share with neighbors and the Center is a place to do just that. They are the embodiment and expression of a caring ministry that is our Shepherd’s Center. Programs Include: Adventures in Learning, Shepherd’s Travelers, Chores Galore, Transportation Ministry, Handy Hands and the Resource Center. Volunteers are the heart of our Shepherd’s Center. As Shepherd Center continues to revolutionize the research and rehabilitation of spinal injuries, Choate is there to aid the growing campus completing 16. The cost is 45 per session for TSCOR members and 75 per session for non-members. Eight-week sessions are offered during the fall, winter and spring.

It features volunteer instructors from Richmond’s university and professional communities. It is their goal to enable older adults to remain vital and independent through programs and services that promote positive aging. Open University is a lifelong learning program of The Shepherd’s Center of Richmond. Shepherd’s Center is an interfaith volunteer organization that provides programs and services for older adults.
